Egg Drop Masala Recipe

This egg drop masala recipe is an Indian style of egg curry. This is simple. It has more flavor due to fresh ground masala. Egg Drop Gravy is a simple and easy to make gravy. Speciality of this recipe is we don’t add boiled eggs to the curry instead we break open and pour the eggs directly into the curry and cook You can use the same recipe and add boiled eggs instead of adding the raw eggs directly into the curry. It goes well with chapathi or idiyappam.

Ingredients
Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1.5 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tsp finely chopped

Onion-1
Tomato-1
Salt – to taste
Egg-1
curry leaves-2 sprigs
Bay leaves-1
For Roasting
Grated coconut-2 cups
Cardamom-2
Cinnamon-1 inch
Cloves-3
Red chilly-2
Coriander seeds-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
How to Make Egg Drop Masala
Dry roast coconut and spices till light brown.DSC02279
Add coriander,red chilly and turmeric powder. Saute till golden brown.DSC02280
Allow it to cool. Grind it to a smooth paste.In a pan heat a tbsp of oil, add onion,tomato and saute till mushy and raw smell  leaves.

Add chilly powder,coriander powder and saute. Add tomatoes. Saute till raw smell goes.

Add ground paste into it.

Now crack the eggs and carefully drop them in the curry,

Cook it for 5 minutes. Put off the flame.
