Aviyal is must for lunch, you can try this.
Drumstick is the rich source of iron,calcium,phosphorus and  carotinoids.

It is a blood purifier and helps to maintain healthy lungs.It is high in digestive proteins.

It is a good source of Vitamin.C. It controls chest congestion,sore throat and cough. Drumstick was easily available in Kerala. So people didn’t want to eat. They were ignorant about the health benefits.

Now it is not easy to get good one and it is not easily available. So people start to love it.

Today I am posting the recipe of aviyal made with drumsticks. You don’t need to use more ingredients like other aviyal. Less ingredients,but healthy.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

    • Drumstick-5
    • Onion-1
    • Tomato big-1
    • Grated coconut-1 cup
    • Jeera-1/2 tsp.
    • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp.
    • Coconut oil as required.
    • Salt to taste
    • Curry leaves
    • How To Make Drumstick Aviyal

    • Keep the clay pot on a low flame.
    • Pour coconut oil.
    • Add onion.Saute for a minute.Add turmeric powder.
    • Add tomato and drumsticks.Close the lid for a while to cook.
    • Add 1/2 cup of water . Allow it to cook till the drumstick becomes soft.
    • Coarsely grind coconut and jeera. Add in the cooked vegetable
