- Chicken 1kg
- Cooked rice 3 cup
- Onion 4
- Ginger garlic and green chili paste 1 ¼ table spoon
- Tomato 2 medium size
- Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder 1 ¼ table spoon
- Biriyani masala 1 teaspoon
- Curd 1 ½ table spoon
- Coriander leaves chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil 3 table spoon
- Fried onion, cashew, raisins
- Saffron soaked in water
Method for making Restaurant style chicken biriyani
Heat a pan by adding 3 table spoon oil. Add sliced onions and salt, saute until the onions turn transparent.
Now add ginger garlic and green chili paste in it, saute till the raw smell away from the masala.
Add chopped tomato in it, mix well. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes in low flame.
Open the lid and mix it again, now the tomatoes smashed.
Add maslas, turmeric powder, red chili powder and biriyani masala. Saute it for 2 minutes in low flame.
Pour curd in to this and mix well.
Add cleaned and washed chicken pieces, combine well.
Add salt to taste, close the lid and cook for 2 minutes in high flame and then reduce the flame in to medium. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken pieces well cooked.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Then add cooked rice in to the chicken masala.
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves, fried onon, raisins, cashew and soaked saffron.
Steam for 2 minutes on low flame, the tasty Restaurant style chicken biriyani is ready to serve.
