Green peas masala curry / /Matar masala is a good side dish for dosa, chapatti, porata, etc. This is the simple, tasty and easy side dish curry. Green peas curry is a healthy food. We can make different food by using green peas.

- Green peas 1 cup
- Water 1 cup + ¾ cop
- Oil 1 table spoon
- Curry leaves 2 springs
For making paste
- Onion 1 sliced
- Tomato 2 chopped
- Garlic 8 cloves
- Ginger 2 pieces
- Green chili 1 or two
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder 1 ½ teaspoon
- Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon
- Oil 1 tablespoon
Method of making Green peas masala curry / /Matar masala
Wash the green peas and put it in a pressure cooker, add salt and sufficient water. Cook for 4 whistles in high flame.
Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, green chili, ginger, garlic and onions. Sauté till the onions turns soft.
Add tomatoes cook it for 3 minutes.
Once the tomatoes cooked add masalas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and garamasala powder in it. Sauté 2 minutes in medium flame. Keep it aside to cool.
Then put it in a blender and make a fine paste. No need to add water. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a kadai, add curry leaves and fry it.
Then add masala paste and sauté till the masala loses oil.
Add water , salt to taste and allow ti to boil.
Once the gravy starts boiling, reduce the flame in medium. Add cooked green peas in it and cook for 2 minutes.
Now it’s ready to use with dosa, chapatti, parata.
