Chicken Pacroni Pola / Chicken Macroni Cake
Chicken macroni pola is an iftar dish it’s famous in Malabar area in Kerala. This is the combination of chicken, eggs and cooked macroni with masalas. Chicken macroni pola is a snacks recipe. If you want its spicier increase the quantity of pepper powder.

INGREDIENTS
- Cooked and Shredded chicken ¾ cup
- Cooked macaroni ¾ cup
- Eggs 4
- Onion 1 chopped
- Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon
- Garlic chopped 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves 2 springs
- Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon
- Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon
- Pepper powder ½ teaspoon
- Ghee 2 table spoon
- Salt to taste
Method
Cook maroni and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan, fry curry leaves, garlic and ginger chopped, sauté for 1 minute.
Add sliced onions and little sauté in it. Sauté till the onion turns soft.
Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and pepper powder, sauté till the raw smell away from the masala.
Now add cooked and shredded chicken pieces in it and combine well with the masala.
Switch off the flame, transfer the masala mixture in the cooked macroni and keep it aside to cool.
In a bowl add 4 eggs and beat well using an electric beater (also use a hand whisk).
Eggs become fluffy, pour this in to the chicken masala mixture.
Combine all are well.
Heat a deep bottom pan, add 2 table spoon ghee and spread the ghee in to the sides also.
On the stove top put a heavy bottom pan and put our nonstick deep bottom pan. Close the lid and cook it in low flame for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes open the lid and cook on the other side for 2 minutes.
